Accessibility.

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. That is the standard most commonly used to judge whether a website can be used by people with a disability.

In practice that means the site can be operated entirely by keyboard, every image carries a text description where it carries meaning, text contrast has been measured rather than assumed, headings run in order so a screen reader can navigate by them, and animation stops for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.

What that covers

• A skip to content link as the first thing you reach with the Tab key on every page.
• A visible outline on every link, button and form field when it has keyboard focus.
• Real labels on every form field, with required fields marked in the label text rather than by colour.
• Body text at 16 pixels or larger throughout, and a layout that holds together down to a 320 pixel screen.
• Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels on buttons and navigation links.
• The menu opens and closes with the keyboard, and the Escape key closes it.

Known limitations

None known at the time of writing. Third party features embedded in this site, such as the spam check on the enquiry form, are supplied by other companies and their accessibility is outside our control.
